On their new venture Chris said: "Marisol is a great chef and we always wanted our dream in Ambleside where we live to have this authentic traceable origins for real Mexican food.

"All the tortillas are from a Mexican company and all our produce is locally sourced. We also grow our own chillis. This is authentic as it comes for Mexican cuisine and they love it."

The takeaway opened on March 1 and has been receiving rave reviews online.

Chris said the support from residents and customers alike has been 'incredible'.

Chris said: "We're so excited that the locals and the people that come in are giving us phenomenal feedback - that is just beyond our wildest expectations."

"Everything is compost friendly and biodegradable and that goes with the message that we are trying to create, that you can have really good food for a really reasonable price."

Chris said that the goal is to one day open up a restaurant. As a jazz-funk saxophone player himself, Chris said he would love to open a small restaurant with live music.
