A RESTAURANT and café in a Lake District town has received a food hygiene rating of one out of five.
The Magic Roundabout in Queens Square, Bowness, was inspected on November 16, 2021.
The score indicates 'major improvement' is necessary at the site.
In the inspection areas of 'hygienic food handling' and 'cleanliness and condition of facilities and building', the eatery received a rating of 'improvement necessary'.
In the inspection area of 'management of food safety', the food safety officer from South Lakeland District Council found 'major improvement necessary'.
The Magic Roundabout has not responded to requests for comment.
