AN award-winning gin distillery has revealed its latest chucklesome invention.
Shed 1 Gin in Ulverston has announced its newest flavoursome gin to add to the ever-growing collection.
The Chuckleberry Gin is a hybrid of a redcurrant, gooseberry, and jostaberry - and has a unique, complex taste which is both tart and sweet.
Bosses behind the investion said the new gin is 'different' to its other creations.
A spokesman said: "Have you heard of chuckleberries? We hadn't until a lucky search on Google brought it to our attention.
"The chuckleberry– a hybrid of a redcurrant, gooseberry, and jostaberry (which itself is a hybrid of a gooseberry and blackcurrant), has a unique, complex taste, both tart and sweet.
"We've complemented the fruit with herby hints of meadowsweet and hyssop.
"As you can see, the depth of colour from the berries is stunning and in order to keep that vibrancy, we haven't distilled it.
"This is Shed 1's first bathtub gin. Another first is we've created it with tonic in mind. It can be sipped neat, but to get the best taste sensation, drink it with a straight tonic-no garnish required."
