A RUGBY club has cancelled its New Year party due to the 'current situation'.
A spokesman for Millom RLFC announced online that the club is postponing its New Year party when it is 'more safe' to do so.
A spokesman said: "So sorry but due to the current situation around town we have decided to postpone the New year party, we are absolutely gutted but we will have a party when its more safe to do so.
"A note to those wanting a family party Millom Cricket is holding theirs. I'm sure they will accommodate anyone wanting to go.
"Happy new year to you all stay safe and see you all in 2022."
