Cafe to operate on 'collection only' basis due to rapid spread of Omicron
A TOWN centre cafe will now only operate as a takeaway due to the 'rapid spread' of Omicron.
Bosses behind The Fig Tree in Scott Street, Barrow announced they will be operating on a 'collection only' basis to protect customers and staff.
A spokesman said: "Due to the rapid spread of the Omicron variant, in order to protect our customers, staff and myself, we will operate as a 'collection only' takeaway as from Friday December 17 until we close on December 23 for Christmas.
"This will help to ensure we are all able to spend Christmas with our families."
