A BANNED driver has failed in a bid to have his disqualification removed.
Ricky Petcher asked South Cumbria Magistrates' Court to cut short a 40-month imposed in 2019 but was knocked back.
The man, of Lowther Crescent on Walney, was handed the ban in July 2019 after he admitted failing to provide a specimen of breath to police.
Refusing his application to remove the ban, magistrates said: "There have been no significant changes in your circumstances since the disqualification imposed and in light of the original offence we believe the length of that disqualification to be reasonable therefore the application for removal of disqualification is refused."
