AN empty town centre shop that has struggled to find a buyer could be sold for a dramatically reduced price.
The former Winfields Outdoors in Barrow's Cavendish Street is due to go under the hammer at auction later this month.
It has gone unsold at previous auctions having been listed with a guide price of £150,000.
But now auctioneers Barnard Marcus have listed the two-storey shop with a guide price of £18,000.
The shop first closed temporarily during the first lockdown in 2020 and never reopened.
It is said to be in a location with 'a good volume of passing trade' and will go up for auction on December 16.
