A BARROW woman has raised hundreds of pounds by holding a charity head shave.
Jorgie Wilson braved the shave in front of a 'packed pub', raising money for CancerCare.
A CancerCare spokesman said: "Shaving your head for charity is never easy, much less so doing it in front of a packed pub!
"The amazing Jorgie Wilson did just that at the Derby Inn in Barrow last Friday as part of a fundraising night of entertainment for CancerCare.
"We have been supporting Jorgie’s dad Gary Wood at our Duke Street Centre in the town following his cancer diagnosis earlier this year and Jorgie wanted to show her appreciation for the help he has received with a special performance, alongside local band the Whiskey Getaways, and head shave.
"She was also surprised on the night by her boyfriend Liam who made the last minute decision to brave the clippers himself!
"The fundraising total stands at a fantastic £260 and you can still donate to Jorgie’s Just Giving page."
