A Wakefield man is due to stand trial for an assault after denying the allegation, a court heard.
Matthew Townend, of Wakefield Road, pleaded guilty to one assault on Kerry Ballard but denied an assault on Roger Pickup, South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court was told.
Both offences date back to November 6 in Hawkshead.
The 46-year-old is due to be sentenced for the assault to which he pleaded guilty at a later date which has not yet been provided by the court.
The trial date has not yet been given by the court as there are other defendants involved in the case that the hearing would need to be tied up with.
