A YOUTUBER has been nominated in a national motorbike award for her creative channel content and is up against big named stars.

29 year old, Saffron Sheriff who is originally from Ulverston has been nominated in the Motorbike TV Peoples Awards for best motorbike social media channel and is up against channels with over one million subscribers including RoyalJordanian.

Saffron's chanel, saffysprocket has just over 6,000 subscribers said she was shocked when she found out she made the list.

She said: “I am the smallest channel ever to have made the list and to be up against some of the best people in the industry is insane.

“I only discovered my love for motorcycles after Covid and before I went to learn how to ride a bike, I decided that I was going to document my journey on Youtube. The whole channel has been about following my journey into biking, from my first bike trip to my first track day.

“From the feedback I’ve received I think the reason I have been nominated is because I’m authentic. People always say how they like when I talk about mistakes I make.”

Saffron was originally trained to be a solicitor after she studied Law at Lancaster University and moved to Chester where the firm she worked for dealt with a lot of motorbikes.

She said: “It was working that job that I thought I might give this a try.

“I failed four times before I finally got my license and bought my first bike which was from the school I learnt at.

“I later switched into marketing a year ago which accommodates to my hobbie as they allow me to finish early on Fridays to do my filming.

“I self-taught myself all the editing and how to shoot, it takes a lot of time and can really burn you out but to be recognised in awards like this is worth it.”

You can vote for Saffron (saffysprocket) at: https://www.motorbike-tv.com/peoples-awards.

Voting closes on November 30 and each category will have a winner and two runners up

Saffron said: “I don’t expect to win as going up against these YouTubers is strange seeing my name in the same category as them.

“Even if I came a runner up would be great and I’d appreciate every vote.”
