A POPULAR Barrow record shop are set to host their last Record Store Day of the year at the end of the month, and it not one to be missed, according to the shop owner.

TNT Records presents its final special event of the year on November 26, offering even more extremely limited-edition releases to get your hands on.

This event is the Black Friday version of the Record Store Day - which is when hundreds of independent record shops across the UK come together to celebrate their unique culture. Special vinyl releases are made exclusively for the day and many shops and cities host artist performances and events to mark the occasion. Thousands more shops celebrate the day around the globe in what’s become one of the biggest annual events on the music calendar.

Dave Turner, owner of TNT Records, said: "This will be pretty much the same as the other Record Store Day events.

"It is on a first come first serve basis and then the rest go online which can be accessed through our website.

"We will have a queue like most times I expect, but with the colder weather not as large as in Summer, but we will be having refreshments and a mystery entertainer performing on the day.

"This is a big event but not quite on the same scale as the main Record Store Day.

"If you have been to one of our Record Store Days before you know we do not do it in halves, we go all out and there is going to be a great buzz."

The Duke Street store - who currently have a sale on - will be dropping prices further on the day as well.

The popularity of their last few Record Store Days has been huge with queues going around the corner filled with customers all excited to get their hands on the deals.

This will not be the last surprise the shop has in store though as they a soon to reveal exciting plans that will be music to people's ears.
