Having settled in behind the stoves at Harry’s Café Bar, at Yew Tree Barn, head chef, Gerald van der Walt, has announced the relaunch of Harry’s Suppers at the Low Newton eatery.

Guests are invited to join him and his team on Friday, November 12 from 7.00pm to sit down at 7.30pm to his enjoy first ever seasonal supper.

The menu includes: Venison tartare, pickled onions, figs, slow cooked rib of beef, grilled cabbage, and buttery mash, nduja stuffed and crispy fried hake, grilled baby gem lettuce, red pepper purée, miso glazed aubergine, stewed lentils, broccoli, lemon and white chocolate cream, almond biscuit crumb, honey, vanilla yoghurt and chocolate and hazelnut mousse, caramel, and crispy chocolate cake.

Pamela Wilson, owner of Yew Tree Barn, said: ‘’We are thrilled that Gerald wants to develop our Supper Club and further enhance what we do at Harry’s.

“Our diners have always enjoyed the experience in the past but now there’s a real opportunity to build on that and really put us on the local foodie map.

“We’re lucky to have a chef with such an incredible culinary repertoire at his disposal join us and we can’t wait to see how the Supper Club develops in the coming months.’’
