CUMBRIA Police have announced an Online Grooming and Sexual Abuse Seminar scheduled as part of safeguarding week.
As part of National Safeguarding Adults Week, the Ann Craft Trust will be hosting a short seminar on Tuesday, November 16 between 1.45 - 2:30pm.
The seminar will include a personal account from Rhiannon-Faye McDonald, Subject Matter Expert from the Marie Collins Foundation.
The seminar will explore questions such as:
- What is online grooming and abuse?
- What are the barriers people may face in reporting online harm or abuse?
- How can practitioners effectively engage with people subjected to harm and abuse online?
The public will be given the opportunity to participate in an online Q&A session as part of the seminar. Those wishing to join the seminar are asked to bring any questions they have to the session.
Those interested in attending the seminar can complete the form to book their place with the Ann Craft Trust.
