A DRINK driver who was more than double the legal limit has been banned from the road.
Daniel Emerton admitted that he committed the offence on Holker Street in Barrow on September 27.
The 26-year-old had 78 micrograms of alcohol 100 millilitres of breath, over the limit of 35.
At South Cumbria Magistrates' Court, Emerton, of Houston Road in Surbiton, Surrey, was fined £275 and banned from holding a driving licence for the next 20 months.
He was told to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 in costs.
