A POPULAR desserts business is reopening after opting to stay in its current premises.
The Waffle House, based on Cavendish Street where the old bridal shop used to be, formed back in June 2020, just a month after thinking of the idea after spotting a gap in the market for sweet treats in Barrow.
The company, was set up by duo Kai James and partner Amy Thompson who thought of the idea because Miss Thompson's young boy really enjoys waffles.
The couple, who have been together for six years now, took an empty shop and completed all the renovations and refurbishments themselves.
The pair considered moving the business to a different site, however, they revealed online they would be remaining in their current location in Cavendish Street - and will be back open today at 5pm.
A spokesman said: "We are no longer moving and are staying in our current premises which means we are opening sooner than expected.
"We will be back open from Monday October 11 at 5pm.
"We can’t wait to get back, good luck."
The sweet treat takeaway business can take orders via Barrow Eats, Facebook, or over the phone for their waffles, milkshakes, brownies to name just a few products.
