THIS week we’ve focused on West Cumbria in 1969 for a photographic gallery.
Can you spot yourself in any of our pictures?
A fashion show held in Moor Row, near Whitehaven, showed off the latest Sixties’ fashions with catsuits, minis and long frocks on display.
And were you a proud pupil from Harrington Junior or Seaton School with your cycling proficiency award? Take a closer look at the desks in the Harrington School classroom – do you remember sitting at a desk like that in regimented rows? So different from today’s more relaxed classroom arrangements.
And look at the “state-of-the-art” fire-fighting equipment being demonstrated by the Workington Fire Brigade. Fifty years on it doesn’t look so modern!
