A POPULAR Italian restaurant has opens its doors again for customers, after a long 18 months of closure.

Salvanas Restaurant, on Cavendish street, Barrow announced yesterday that it would be reopening on Wednesday, September 29 for customers to enjoy its meals again.

The restaurant will be open five days a week from Wednesday to Sunday and will be offering happy hour deals in specific times throughout the day.

A staff member took to Facebook to make the announcement and said: “We’re all a bit rusty round the edges and hope you can all bear with us while we find our feet again.

"However the excitement within us all is uncontainable, so hopefully it won’t take us long to get in full swing again.

“We can’t wait to see you all very soon, it’s been a crazy journey – one we hope never to have to repeat.”

The restaurant has already sold out tables for its first night.
