A FUNDRAISING event is being held in support of a Barrow bird sanctuary this weekend.
On Saturday people will be coming together at the Queens Arms in Biggar Village to raise funds for The Owl Sanctuary.
Entertainment will be provided on the night by Brian Turner, and the owls will also be making an appearance.
A spokeswoman for The Owl Sanctuary said: “We would love to see you there. The whole night will be fab, although if you want to see the owls as well you’ll need to arrive earlier rather than later as the owls can’t stay long – it already starts past their bedtime!
"Your attendance and support at this event would be much appreciated, not only by us but by the kind organisers of the event, Dave Grove and the Queens Arms management team.”
The event will start at 7.30pm.
