BARROW Island go into their final Conference game of the season with a visit from Cumbria section leaders Wath Brow.

The Brow top the ladder with five wins from five with the Island seeking revenge for a defeat up the Coast last month.

Missing out are Max Moore and Will Hadwin who are both on duty for Scotlands under 20s who take on England this weekend.

Ryan Clegg picked up an ankle injury at Kells last Saturday and is ruled out along with Matt Brum who is unavailable.

Back in contention are Jake Stockdale, Matt Parkinson, Adam Ford, and Noah Robinson while rated doubtful is Adam Jackson who has an ankle injury.

Millom were on the wrong end of a 76-6 scoreline at home to Wath Brow last weekend.

The Woolybacks were forced to player several youngsters against the top side in the County.

And it is more or less a similar situation tomorrow for the visit of Kells.

Coach Tom Sibley said “We are up against it with injuries and Illness and myself, and some other old boys will be pulling on a shirt to play alongside the kids.

We are determined to fulfil the fixture, but know we have a big fight on our hands.”

In the North West Men’s League Ulverston travel to Bury Broncos with Connor Saunders and Will Coles back in contention while Jake Spedding will have a late fitness test.

Brother Tom is ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee problem.

Roose Pioneers take on Crosfields at Redwaters and welcome back Mike Light, Jack Torkington and Dan White, while ruled out are Kris Holmes and Josh Tranter.

Daltons home fixture with Haydock is off, the Wigan area side can't raise enough players.

The same applies to Hindpool who can't raise enough players for their scheduled game at Cadishead.

In the Barrow league tonight (Friday) Ulverston play Dalton in the top four semi-final while Millom can't raise a team to play Barrow Island.

The much anticipated Barton Townley final between Dalton and Barrow Island is going to take place at Craven Park on Friday October 8.
