BARROW Raiders are on the brink of clinching the League one title as they go into the most crucial weekend of the season.

Critical games take place at Rochdale and in the Capital as Barrow take on a Hornets team that are undefeated at home this season.

Down the motorway and challengers Workington Town clash with London Skolars where it’s a must win for the West Cumbrians if they are to stay in the hunt and knock Barrow off the top of the ladder with just two games remaining.

By the time Barrow take on the Hornets tomorrow the result in London will be known as the game with Town takes place today (Saturday).

Wins for both teams will see the season close next Sunday with the title decided when Barrow entertain bottom of the pile West Wales while Workington hosts Hunslet.

Workington have lost their last two games and take on a Skolars side that gave Barrow a fright last Sunday with a great second half display.

Barrow welcome back into the squad Tom Hopkins, Jordan Walne, Callum Bustin and Charlie Emslie to boost the forwards while Dan Toal is unavailable.

Connor Terrill is hoping to keep his place after turning down the opportunity to represent Scotlands under 20s this weekend.

With key player Jamie Dallimore ruled out through a two-match ban Coach Paul Crarey is expected to go with two of his youngsters Jake Carter and Ryan Johnston in the half back position while Mark Tyson and Ryan Duffy will have late fitness tests.

The Raiders boss said “I have faith in the pair they have both been fantastic this season, they play well together.

"It’s good to have some big forwards back as Rochdale have a big pack.

"Carl Forster has had a massive season and has played the full eighty minutes in our last two games due to our bench being light of forwards, but now we have men back on board.

"It is crucial that we keep our discipline and keep the errors down this is our cup final.

"We have taken some stick in recent games by our supporters but they don't realise that some of our lads are out there carrying knocks when they shouldn't have been playing.”
