MILLOM face a big task at Devonshire Road when they take on leaders Wath Brow in the Cumbria section of the National Conference.

The Brow top the ladder with four wins from four and last week defeated Barrow Island 31-6.

Coach Tom Sibley was unsure what his 17-man squad will be awaiting the outcome of last night's Harry Warman final with Barrow Island “A”.

Sibley said “With illness, injuries and work commitments we won’t be at full strength. Hopefully “A” team lads will come through last night’s game unscathed with several in contention for a squad place.

“Definitely out is Dillon Sykes who plays for the Scottish under 20s side this weekend while key half back Jonathan Hodgson is unavailable.

“Last time out we lost to Egremont.

"We were in contention at half time but with a lack of big forwards we were blitzed in the second half.

“It is a tough division.

"The West Cumbrian side are very good but it has been a good test for our younger players and it will put them in a better position when we return to the third tier next season.”

Barrow Island also take on west Cumbria opposition in Kells but travel up the coast without Max Moore and Will Hadwin who join Dillon Sykes with the Scottish squad.

Also out are Adam Ford, Jake Stockdale and Shane Sanderson.

Rated 50-50 are Adam Jackson and Ryan Clegg but back in the fold are Rhys Bartlett, Elliot Campbell and Taylor Carter. Veteran Matt Jefferson once more takes to the field to help a depleted squad.

Hindpool Tigers are minus several players for their trip to Thatto Heath Crusaders though returning are Brad Wright Webb and Dale Sneesby.

In the Barrow league tonight 7pm Dalton takes on Walney at Kelland Park.
