MARK Cooper added two more players to his Barrow AFC squad on Tuesday as the summer transfer window slammed shut.

The former Forest Green Rovers has now reunited with Jordan Stevens at Holker Street, as the 21-year-old midfielder left Premier League side Leeds United to sign a two-year contract at Barrow.

Stevens came through the Forest Green academy when he was 17 and made his debut under Cooper in September 2017, before moving to Elland Road just five months later for an undisclosed fee.

He spent last season with a series of loans at Swindon Town and then Bradford City and can play as a wide player or in the number 10 role.

Joining Stevens is box-to-box midfielder Robbie Gotts, who also joins from Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds United.

Gotts, who is 21-year-old, has signed a two-year deal at Barrow, with his new boss Cooper said to be a long-term admirer of the young midfielder.

The Academy Player of the Year in 2019/20, Gotts made his first team debut for Leeds during an FA Cup tie at Arsenal in January 2020.

He found his senior opportunities at Elland Road limited following their promotion to the Premier League, but gained experience by spending last season on loan in League One with Lincoln City, before dropping down to League Two with Salford City.
