DALTON got back to winning ways following their narrow defeat to Ulverston last weekend by bringing the points home from Hindley with a 22-16 victory.

Dalton's defence won the game, while tries came from the Crarey boys Joe and Jack along with Ross Coulson and Zac Steel who added three goals.

Not so fortunate were Ulverston who lost out in a 62 point thriller with Chorley Panthers at Dragey Beck 30-32.

Tries for the home side came from Jack Akrigg, Kieron Potter, Matt Dean and two from Sam Shepherd with five goals from the boot of Connor Saunders.

Hindpool also went down losing 16-24 to Folley Lane at Brisbane Park.

It was a close affair with the visitors scoring first prior to Hindpool coming back with tries from Dale Lambton and Cameron McDermott plus a Grant Burns goal making it 10-14 at the break.

The visitors increased their lead with a second half try before Darlly Archer touched down for the home side with Burns tagging on the goal.

However, in a nip and tuck encounter the Lane emerged winners.

Barrow Ladies lost at league leaders Widnes 20-6 with Jody Crawford crossing for a try converted by Jody Litherland.

In the Conference Millom lost 47-14 to Egremont at Devonshire Road and had water carrrier Paul Evans sent off for dissent after Egremont’s Thomson had crossed for a try.

Millom were always second best and were reduced to 12 men with Anthony Dixon having a spell in the sin bin.Tries came from Kian McPherson and two from Nial Harris with one conversion from Jordan Moyes.

Barrow Islands game with Hensingham was postponed.

In the Harry Warman first round Walney were victors 22-14 at Ulverston while Barrow Island received a walk over Dalton.

The semi-finals take place on Friday (7.00pm)- Askam are home to Barrow Island while Walney host Millom.
