Alston town centre
A free guided walk will take place in Alston this weekend focusing on the area's industrial heritage.
It is for people who live near Alston Moor, or are there on holiday.
The free guided walk is being put on by Alston Moor historical society, and is called ‘Industrial Alston’
The group promises information about lead, lime, iron, zinc, gas, wool, and wartime munitions, and Alston Castle.
The walk is on Sunday and will be meeting at the Railway Station at 2pm.
