VOTE: Grange by-election getting closer
DEADLINE date has now passed for candidates wishing to run in the Grange by-election to make themself known.
Four candidates have now registered before the deadline on July 27 and they are: Steve Chambers - Conservative Party, Fiona Marguerite Hanlon - Liberal Democrats, Robin Le Mare - The Green Party, and Patricia Wright - Labour Party.
The poll will be held on Thursday, August 12 between 7 am and 10 pm. Four sites have been chosen to place your vote; they will be located at Allithwaite Community Centre, Victoria Hall, Main Street, Grange, and the United Reformed Church Hall, Kents Bank Road.
The District council by-election was called after councillor Dave Khan stepped down in June.
