THE public has been invited to attend an exclusive reading of an upcoming new play about global icon Marilyn Monroe's struggle with mental health.

An exclusive, free-to-attend rehearsed reading of a new play, 'One Night with Marilyn' by P.T Rose on September 19 is taking place at The Forum in the Studio from 7pm.

Executive Producer Yvonne Patterson is delighted to bring this presentation to Barrow.

Following the reading, audience members will be asked for feedback and initial reactions.

She said: "I have an amazing group of actors together for this.

"P.T Rose's script is emotive, powerful and very moving. The cast have learnt so much about Marilyn's early life in this very revealing play and so will you."

The play follows Marilyn's experience at a psychiatric clinic and her struggle with mental health.
