A MOTORIST who took a car without its owner's consent and damaged it has been jailed.
Timothy Baker, 30, of Duke Street in Askam, was jailed for 18 weeks after he took the Renault Clio and caused damage under £5,000 in Ulverston on July 23 2021.
For driving while disqualified on the same day he was jailed for the same time period as well four weeks for obstructing a police officer.
Baker admitted the offences at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court and was banned from driving for 63 months.
