A CONTEST to create a new name and logo for a vital Cumbrian service is underway.

The Special Educational Needs (SEN) Improvement team have launched a competition for young people who might use the Short Breaks Service.

Budding young artists are encouraged to get involved and try their hand at giving the new Short Breaks Service a name and logo.

All children who have an education, health and care plan (EHCP) and are in school year one to 13 are invited to enter.

The designs can be handed in at your nearest library, or a digital copy can be sent to: SendImprovements@cumbria.gov.uk

The entry deadline is at 5pm on Friday, September 24.

A panel of young people will decide on a short list of entries sent in by those who enter.
