MOTORISTS have been reminded to 'park responsibly' as people enjoy their summer breaks in the Lake District.
The Lake District National Park have warned drivers that road access is always needed by the likes of emergency services, with temporary car parks now set up.
A statement said: "While this might be your holiday, please remember the Lake District is a working landscape.
"Farmers, locals and emergency vehicles need clear access 24/7 so please park responsibly. Don’t block gates, footpaths or roads.
"We know it’s going to be a busy summer and parking will be in demand, so lots of new temporary car parks have been put in place."
