AN employee for a successful Ulverston business has been awarded with an award after being nominated by her co-workers.
Heather Teeley, who has worked at Playdale Playgrounds Limited for the past six years as an after sales co-ordinator, has been given the company’s Customer Service Award.
This is the second time she has been granted the award due to her outstanding performance in the work place.
Beginning her career as a sales co-ordinator, Heather soon moved to after sales where she oversees quotas for the company, manages inspections and other important administrative affairs.
Originally from Millom, but currently living in Askam, Heather thanked her team for their support over the years and will continue with the high standard of work her company is known for.
Heather said: “It’s been a good six years here and I love the team I work with very much.
“I started when one of my friends told me about a job going here so I looked into it.
“I was in sales co-ordination at first but then I moved on to after sales.

“I enjoy being on this side of the business and no two day is the same around here.
“We provide all kinds of playground equipment, most recently a mount tower in Millom.
“I didn’t think what I was doing was particularly special but I was just doing my best. I was so grateful for the nomination.
“I was on holiday on Wednesday when I found out.
“I just got a text telling me about it, and we have a social media platform for our employees so I saw it on there.
“I won it once before a year or two ago so I was very happy to receive it again now. I’m the reigning champ you could say.
“I want to say to my colleagues it’s a massive honour and I wanted to thank Oliver Harbidge for nominating me. It means a lot. I think all of them deserve an award as well.”

Playdale's CEO Barry Leahey said: "Heather has now twice won the Team Playdale Customer Service Award for her dedication to internal and external customer service.
"She greets everyone with a smile and is always willing to help others.
"This award is peer-nominated and decided by a dedicated team of customer service ambassadors from across the business.
"Heather was recognised this time for going above and beyond outside her working hours to ensure a playground installation would start on time.
