A CUMBRIAN man has been appointed to a leading role at a national charity.
Craig Hatch, from Cockermouth, is the new chair of trustees at WellChild, a natioanl charity for seriously ill children.
Craig has first-hand experience of the challenges facing families caring for a child with complex health needs. Fraser, one of his four children, has Cerebral Palsy and requires daily care.
WellChild’s previous Chair of Trustees, Andrew Osborne, has retired from the role after serving for the last three years.
Craig said: “I am honoured and delighted to be appointed as Chair, particularly following a great role model like the previous Chair Andrew Osborne.
"The WellChild charity means so much to me and it has been a privilege to see the great work they do for families like ours.
"I hope that being a parent will help ensure that WellChild continues to make a significant impact."
