THE Tour de Furness charity cycle ride his back and this year will be the 25th anniversary of the ride.
It will be taking place on Sunday, September 5 at Roose Conservative Club in Barrow in Furness. Riders can ride for St Mary’s Hospice or their own favourite charity.
The ride is organised by the Rotary Club of Furness and over the past 24 years over £430,000 has been raised for charities
There are four rides, a 5 mile ride for children, and 11 mile and 23 mile route for intermediate riders and a 50 mile ride which goes to Coniston.
The event had to be cancelled last year because of Covid but they have now developed a new 50 mile ride with breathtaking views on the way around the route which it is hoped will prove very popular.
