SOUTH Cumbrian classic vehicle and supercar enthusiasts are invited to a major motoring event in the county next month.
Organisers of the Cumbria Classic Weekend are expecting a bumper turnout after the event was cancelled last year amid the coronavirus pandemic. In 2019, it attracted more than 800 cars.
A one-day tour - the Rose and Thistle - will take place on Saturday, August 21. The route will begin at Houghton Hall Garden Centre, near Carlisle.
The following day, the 'Cumbria Classic Show' of vintage vehicles will be held at Dalemain Mansion and Historic Gardens, between Penrith and Ullswater.
Various stalls - featuring crafts, food and more - will be set up at the show for the public to browse.
The weekend will be supporting the charities Hospice at Home and Blood Bikes.
