GARY Lineker has been out and about in Windermere today, as the former footballer and now TV presenter took a boat trip on its famous lake.
The Match of the Day star had booked and travelled with Windermere Lake Cruises on Friday, however its staff were totally unaware there was a celebrity on board.
Jennifer, who works in sales in marketing at Windermere Lake Cruises, said: “It was a lovely surprise.
“We didn’t even know he had visited until he put a picture on Twitter!
“He was here today on one of our private vessels and the skipper was talking to him, but he didn’t know it was him either!
“He had managed to get on and off the boat incognito and he didn’t book the boat under his name, so we didn’t know it was him.”
After leaving Windermere, Lineker then posted a picture inside of Forest Side restaurant, as the 60-year-old sat down for lunch in Grasmere.
