READERS have criticised the decision to approve plans to transform a former betting shop in Barrow into a takeaway.
Council planners gave the thumbs up to change the use of a unit in Barrow’s Bath Street to a hot food takeaway.
The shop space has been vacant since 2018 following the closure of Ladbrokes Coral.
Linda Hall said: "Yet another takeaway .. just what Barrow doesn't need!"

Michael Vandom said: "Fantastic news! Hope the owners do well! One less empty shop in the town and more employment!"
