A LAKE DISTRICT fundraiser in memory of Caroline Flack is close to reaching its £30,000-target.
As of Tuesday afternoon, the JustGiving page had raised £27,595 for the charity Samaritans.
Singer-songwriter Olly Murs took part in the fundraiser where the 37-year-old climbed 24 peaks over 24 hours last weekend. Murs was spotted in the Lakes during the challenge, being driven around by The Mountain Goat Tour Company in Windermere.
Each day, Murs and the group trekked 12 hours through the Lakes, as they remembered their friend Caroline.
It is hoped the money raised will ensure Samaritans can help anyone affected by suicide.
