TWO siblings have been jailed after a man choked to death on a kebab.

David Clark, 56, of Grange, died when a piece of chicken the size of a golf ball became lodged in his throat on the 9.05pm train from Lancaster to Barrow on May 2 2018.

His friend David Noble, 32, and Noble’s sister Nicole Cavin, 22, were found guilty of manslaughter after a jury ruled they force fed Mr Clark after he fell asleep on the train.

Following mitigation from the defence counsel, Preston Crown Court’s honorary recorder Robert Altham sentenced Noble, of Main Street, Grange, to three years and three months in prison.

His sister, Nicole Cavin, of Market Street, Grange, was sentenced to three years in prison due to her greater mitigation.
