AN ULVERSTON chip shop has been praised for its fundraising efforts.
Priory Plaice Fish and Chip Shop, a family ran shop on Priory Road, used National Fish and Chips Day to raise much-needed funds for St Mary’s Hospice.
They raised the money through the sales of sides and donations made by their customers.
A spokesman for St Mary’s Hospice thanked the takeaway for managing to raise £300.
“A massive thank you to Priory Plaice Fish and Chips and all their wonderful customers,"said the spokesman.
“You raised an incredible £300 on National Fish and Chips day on Friday through donations from sides.
“That’s a lot of mushy peas and gravy - amazing.
“Thank you all for your support and generosity.
“We couldn’t do what we do without people like you.”
