A CREATIVE Dalton youngster has added a splash of colour to the town after winning a competition.
Jade Holden, nine, was one of two winners of a bench design challenge set by Dalton Community Action.
A spokesman from Dalton Community Action said: "The town council kindly agreed and set two benches aside to be completed by the winners.
"It certainly brightens up the area that's for sure and from the many residents who came to look or visit the coop it was a welcome sight and looks like it's a big hit.
"Well done Jade and thank you for your time and skills, special mention to local artist Mike Richards who gave up his time both days to help out and keep Jade's design as close to the original as possible."
