A MAN has been found guilty of rape and kidnap following a week-long trial at Preston Crown Court.
Howard Liam Rowley, of Devoke Water Gardens, Dalton, was found guilty of raping a woman, assault by penetration of a woman, kidnap and false imprisonment of a female with intent to commit a sexual offence.
The 24-year-old committed the offences in March 2018 in Dalton.
Victims of alleged sexual offences are granted automatic anonymity and cannot be identified.
Rowley was found guilty by jury after a trial which began on Tuesday in Preston Crown Court.
He will be sentenced on June 9.
He has been granted bail on the condition he does not go within two miles of the complainant.
