CUMBRIA Police believe residents have welcomed their dog fouling patrols across Furness.
Police community support officers and community officers have been teaming up with environment officers from Street Care, as part of their plans to clamp down on the issue.
A statement from Cumbria Police said: "When we have surveyed local communities about their main issues, one answer which kept coming back time and time again was dog fouling.
"The feedback we have had from local residents has been positive, and this is the type of partnership work we will continue to provide to help tackle the problems which affect you."
The patrols have been carried out in highlighted areas.
These include Walney, Dalton, Askam and Roanhead.
During the patrols, dog walkers were offered advice and officers placed new 'No Dog Fouling' stickers across the area.
