The Lake District has been crowned the most family-friendly staycation destination in the UK.
PoundToy has looked at six family-friendly factors to determine which UK destinations are the best for families to visit on staycation this summer.
Coming out on top was the Lake District. From charming towns and villages such as Bowness, Ambleside, and Grasmere to spectacular mountains like Scafell Pike and Helvellyn, the Lakes have a bit of everything for the whole family, including the most outdoor activities and green space of all destinations.
Exmoor in the South West of England is the second-highest-ranking staycation destination. The national park is an area of moorland bordering the counties of Devon and Somerset and is home to the highest sea cliff in the country near Combe Martin.
