HOUSES in Barrow take an average of 17 weeks to sell, according to newly-released data.
Professional house buying firm Property Solvers’ speed of sale tool has revealed that it’s taking an average of 17.86 weeks to sell a property in the Barrow-in-Furness (LA13, LA14, LA15 and LA16) postcodes.
Sellers were waiting up to 131 days on average in the LA15 postcode.
Updated monthly, the latest dataset analysed over 198 property sales across the region between May 2020 and May 2021.
The statistics track the moment a property is listed on the UK’s largest property portal Rightmove to the point it is marked as officially ‘sold’ at the HM Land Registry.
In the LA13 and LA15 postcodes, out of the 87 tracked properties in the 12 months to May 2021, home sellers were waiting 128 days on average from listing to completion.
Properties were selling the fastest in the LA14 postcode - 101 homes in this area took 122 days to sell on average.
