1. The Last Resort Coffee Shop

The independent coffee house located on Cavendish Street and has returned to serving the public.

2. Abbey Mill Coffee Shop

A popular place to grab a coffee which is open on Thursday through to Sundays.

Lisa Gracie said: “We like the Abbey Mill Shop, just wish it were open a bit more. Lot of the people around here really like it there.”

3. New Look

Barrow’s New Look shop serves a wide range of fashionable women’s and menswear, with plus-sizes and maternity clothing on offer.

Felicity Bradley said: “The New Look is a good place.”

4. Buildabundle Limited

Barrow’s children’s clothing shop located in The Old Brewery, on Shore Street offers a fun atmosphere while shopping for the youngsters.

Kieran Manning said: “The kids are happy the Buildabundle store is open now.”

5. Pretty Things Boutique

The local independent business from Windermere is a lady’s clothes shop & accessories that was previously featured in The Mail as Trader of the Week.

6. Jute

A women’s clothing store located on Ulverston’s King Street, that has reopened but continues to offer its lockdown services of curb side pickups of orders and a delivery option.

Tina Walker said: “The Jute. Glad its back.”

7. Gillam’s Tearoom Limited

The popular tea room located on Market Street in Ulverston is happy to be able to offer service to customers once more.

Julie Green said: “Love to see the Gillam tea room on Market Street is back open.”

8. Icon

The popular and highly rated Barrow men’s wear shop on Dalton Road has built a reputation as a reliable clothing store and has been missed by the public.

James Bailey said: “Barrow’s Icon is a good place.”

9. Bumblebee at the Hive

Scott Street's popular business, this Barrow specialist gift shop is open six days a week and continues to build on its already strong reputation of good service and unique products.

Sophia Jenkins said: "Bumblebee is such a cute little business. Glad they made it through lockdown. Keep going."

10. Diggle's

Barrow's independent takeaway venue that is currently serving from Mondays to Saturdays, and offers a range of coffee, cake, deli products and other treats.

Mike Ford said: "Diggle's in Barrow. Better than the one in Lancaster, I think. Lovely little dishes and there's always a nice person who serves me there."
