THE food hygiene rating for a Copeland bar and restaurant has been revealed.
The Brown Cow Inn at Lane End, near Waberthwaite, was assessed by inspectors on April 20, 2021.
The site along the A595 was given the maximum rating of five out of five, with the verdict being food hygiene there was 'very good'.
The full breakdown for the Brown Cow was as follows:
• Hygienic handling of food including preparation, cooking, reheating, cooling and storage - good.
• Cleanliness and condition of facilities and building (including having appropriate layout, ventilation, hand-washing facilities and pest control) to enable good food hygiene - good.
• System or checks in place to ensure that food sold or served is safe to eat, evidence that staff know about food safety, and the food safety officer has confidence that standards will be maintained in future - good.
