A LAMBORGHINI driver was caught racing at 122mph on the M6 near Carlisle.
Adil Ashraf, 33, of Shaw Street, Glasgow, had been spotted by police driving north near Southwaite, racing towards Junction 42.
He was banned from driving at Carlisle & District Magistrates' Court, Rickergate.
Ashraf was scheduled to appear on April 9 but proceedings took place in his absence.
The incident took place on December 27, 2019, when officers in an unmarked patrol car were passed by the Lamborghini Urus travelling at speed - the car was recorded at a top speed of 122mph.
He was stopped and reported for speeding.
Ashraf had contested the speed recorded suggesting it was unreliable but expert evidence was provided and confirmed he was travelling at that speed.
