CLOTHING and home retailer Next is set to re-open with nine new staff following renovations.

In-store shoppers will be welcomed back to the newly-refurbished store in the Hindpool Retail and Leisure Park, Barrow, from 10am on Thursday.

Next was forced to close its doors in December with other non-essential shops under the latest Covid-19 restrictions. Bosses decided to take the opportunity while the store was closed to upgrade the facilities to give shoppers a new and improved shopping experience. The store has undergone a range of ‘extensive renovation works’ which have transformed and modernised the space.

Store manager Simon Craig said: “I’m delighted that we have been able to modernise our store in Barrow and look forward to welcoming back new and existing customers to our beautiful refurbished space.

"We really feel our customers’ shopping experience will be improved by the renovation; from the impressive atrium addition, to the newly installed glass walls, together both transform the space and make the store feel a lot brighter and more airy.

"Customers can also expect to find lovely new fitting rooms in-store, as well as new stylish, decorative features including mosaic floors and the addition of feature walls, to really bring the store to life!’’

Next Barrow contains a range of departments, including women’s, men’s, kids and home. The store moved to the Hindpool Retail and Leisure Park in 2005 after previously being located in Portland Walk, Barrow.
