An overnight stay on a Cumbria farm was a highlight of an on-screen trip to the Lake District for two TV personalities.

Comedian Rosie Jones and TV personality Scarlett Moffatt stayed at Greenbank Farm in Grange-over-Sands for Channel 4’s latest show.

Trip Hazard: My Great British Adventure, presented by Rosie, was filmed throughout the Lake District during the episode.

The pair spent the night at Greenbank Farm as part of their ‘stable stays’, which offers a unique experience for horse lovers.

Stable stays see visitors sleep in a room next to horses, much to the delight of Rosie and Scarlett.

Tamara Alexander, co-owner at Greenbank Farm, was thrilled to host the duo at the farm.

She said: “It was great fun.

“They had heard about our stable stays, so they called and asked if they could film a new travel show here.

“They were really lovely and friendly.

“They were so funny both on and off-screen.

“They said it was a really different and unique experience for them and had a lovely time at the stables.

“We are really happy that they approached us; anything that can bring bookings in is great given we had to close during Covid.”

Tamara and her sister Tracey introduced the experience about 18 months ago.

Since then, it has proven to be a popular experience with customers.

Tamara added: “We have even welcomed people who are not really interested in horses, but booked it for their partners.

“But they have gone away loving it, saying it was a really relaxing experience.

In addition to visiting Grange, Rosie and Scarlett went to William Wordsworth’s Dove Cottage in Grasmere and tried their hands at poetry.

They also rode a tractor in Ulverston and had a meal with the mayor of Kendal, Alvin Finch, after making their very own Cumberland sausages.
