RENEWED calls have been made to report anti-social behaviour in the town centre after a reported rise during the lockdown period.

Barrow BID has vowed to crackdown on anti-social behaviour in the town centre which may have increased over the past 12 months whilst businesses were shut.

A spokesman said: "Barrow BID is committed to working with Barrow Police, Barrow Borough Council and delivery partners to create a safe and welcoming town centre.

"We understand that the town has undergone a period of change whilst many businesses have been closed and we want to assure business owners and managers that we are determined to tackle any social issues that may have increased over the past 12 months.

"Barrow BID will be encouraging businesses to report any anti-social behaviour issues so that we can map hot spots and determine what the main issues are, where they are occurring and who are the perpetrators.

"Once we have mapped issues we will seek to present a number of initiatives with delivery partners, which will help to restrict and resolve problems."

If businesses witness any anti-social behaviour or social issues they should email 101emails@cumbria.police.uk and CC manager@barrowbid.co.uk.

They can attach images and a description of the issue stating what it was, where it happened, who it was and when the incident occurred.
