Police said it happened on Roose Road near to the junction of Friars Lane.

A police cordon was put in place on Friday night and into Saturday while enquiries were conducted.

Crime scene investigators were spotted searching a section of pavement in front of the Co-op Funeralcare building.

The woman sustained a minor facial injury which did not require medical treatment.
